Pua Woven by Cheraring & Her Daughter, Sia
All this Pua were woved by the Late Cheraring & her daughter, Sia from Matup, Paku. The Woven Pua were used as Sapat to the Late Endi@Gandun, the daughter of the Late Sia on the 28th November 2009.
All the 14 pieces had never been shown before to public but was kept well inside an antique Jar which was wrapped by a Tekalong then again wrapped with Plastic before being kept in an antique Jar. The Antique Jar's mouth then was wrapped with a plastic tightly. As I'm being told by the daughter of Gandun, this is to keep the Pua well preserved as if it is always look New. And she was right!

Vernon Kedit-Jolly's Comment on Facebook:
This set of pua kumbu demonstrate perfectly the weaving skill of the "indu tau sikat tau kebat" level/stage of the Saribas. All the tisi (borders) are coloured red (dilah kendawang), which point to this level of maturity. This set is an important indicator of the levels of proficiency in the Saribas.
